Family fun at summer fete

€¹There will be fun for all the family when residents at a Sanctuary Care home welcome the local community along to their summer fete.

Chelmsford’sLyons Court Care Home, which provides care for the elderly, includingspecialist dementia care and residential care, will hold a garden party on Sunday 12 August between 2pm and 4.30pm.

There will be face painting, a barbecue and cake and bric-a-brac stalls, plus some fantastic prizes in the raffle and tombola.

The event will start with singer Saul Watts, who will perform hits from yesteryear.

Manager Roda Williams said: “We are part of such a wonderful close-knit community here so are really looking forward to welcoming some new faces along to celebrate the summer with us.”

Entry to the event will be free and there will be a small charge for refreshments. Money raised will go to the residents’ activities fund to pay for trips and treats for the residents.
