The Mayor of Greenwich David Grant will join the residents of a localSanctuary Care home when they limber up for their mini Olympics.
The local community are invited to enjoy family fun atRiverlee Nursing Home’s Olympic-themed garden party on Friday 3 August, from 11am.
There will be a chance to show off your sporting prowess in a variety of games at the home, which provides care for the elderly, includingspecialist dementia care.
The home will be dressed to the nines in bunting and flags – along with an Olympic torch and rings made by the residents during activities sessions.
Manager Rebecca Sowle said: “There has been such a huge build up to the London 2012 Olympics and our residents have had so much fun preparing for this event."
