Patriotic party to celebrate Jubilee
The patriotic party will be in full swing when residents of aSanctuary Care home in Weston-super-Mare celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The residents ofBeach Lawns Care Home, which provides care for the elderly, includingspecialist dementia care, are gearing up for an old fashioned garden party on Tuesday 12 June, between 1.30pm and 5pm.
Members of the community are invited to drop by and enjoy fun for all the family, with donations going towards the residents’ activities fund.
There will be face painting, lawn games and a royal feast, with a traditional English tea party.
The home’s activities leader Ria Gilliani said: “The nation came together with street parties and parades for The Queen’s Coronation, so we thought what better way to celebrate than to have our own in the home’s garden.”
“There has been a huge buzz around the home and our residents are so excited to be celebrating this special day in spectacular style with their family, friends and grandchildren.”
