Sanctuary shows support for UK construction initiative

Sanctuary Group, one of the UK’s leading housing and care providers, is backing a construction industry scheme which encourages contractors to drive and deliver best practice on building sites.
Sanctuary, which has been awarded ‘Client Partner’ status by the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), has signed up to this quality standard to ensure its partners adopt a responsible approach and achieve the Scheme’s quality standards on construction sites.
The CCS was founded by the construction industry to raise standards across a number of working practices, including environmental and community awareness and safety of the workforce and general public.
As one of only fifteen Client Partners nationwide, Sanctuary is using its membership to encourage contractors to sign up to the Scheme and achieve full compliance with all aspects of the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.
Sanctuary’s Group Chief Executive, David Bennett, said: “As a major developer of housing and care homes, we adopt a responsible attitude in the communities in which we operate and we expect a like-minded approach from our partners.
“We are delighted to be awarded Client Partner status and will actively encourage all our construction partners to achieve the quality standards set by this well-respected industry scheme.”
