Sanctuary Group has many accreditations from a large number of organisations. Below are details of the accreditations we hold:

The Regulatory Judgements published by the Homes and Communities Agency give Sanctuary Group the highest possible ratings for Governance and Viability (G1 and V1 respectively). This indicates that the Group meets the requirements set out in the Governance and Financial Viability Standard and has the capacity to mitigate its exposures effectively.

Sanctuary has been assigned ratings of A1 and A+ by the independent credit ratings agencies, Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poor's. This is a measure of our strong financial stability and operating performance.

Sanctuary has Investors in People status. The Investors in People standard is recognised as the benchmark of how a business can improve performance through its people.

Finance Accreditations

Sanctuary Group has been awarded four prestigious finance accreditations: the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Training Quality Partnership; the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Platinum Employer Status for trainee development and a recognised employer for continuing professional development; an Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Training Employer, and the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Accredited Employer. All four awards reflect the work that has been taking place to develop the support and opportunities available to our Finance staff in pursuit of their professional qualifications and further development.

Sanctuary Care is a Skills for Care endorsed training provider. This national quality standard recognises the best learning and development in the adult social care sector.

Sanctuary is approved by City & Guilds, the Institute of Leadership and Management and the Chartered Institute of Housing to deliver and certificate nationally recognised qualifications. The Group maintains a low risk status.

Occupational Health & Safety Management Accreditation

Sanctuary Students and Sanctuary Maintenance retained their BS OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management standards accreditation.

Customer Service Excellence

The Customer Service Centre (CSC) has been awarded the Customer Service Excellence standard. This standard aims to make a tangible difference to customers by encouraging a focus on their individual needs and preferences. During the assessment, our CSC, delivered from Banbury and Hull, was assessed against elements which have been indicated as a priority for customers, including delivery, timeliness, information, professionalism, and staff attitude. In 2017, in addition to the Customer Service Excellence standard, the CSC also received the Compliance Plus Standard for ‘positive changes to services as a result of analysing customer experience, including improved customer journeys’.

HQN Accredit: Co-regulation

Sanctuary Housing Services was one of the first housing associations in England to successfully achieve HQN Accredit: Co-regulation, which assesses how well Sanctuary, as a landlord, has grasped all the opportunities and met all the challenges of co-regulation. Successful accreditation is a visible sign of excellence and achievement.

Sanctuary Maintenance has ISO 9001 accreditation which signifies that it has implemented extensive quality assurance processes for facilities, people, training, services and equipment.

Sanctuary Maintenance has ISO 14001 accreditation which recognises the efforts of Sanctuary Maintenance to incorporate environmental considerations into day-to-day operations.

Telecare Services Association (TSA)

Sanctuary365 has held platinum accreditation to the Telecare Services Association (TSA) and the European Technical Standard for seven consecutive years. The TSA audit runs in a three-year cycle, year one being a full audit followed by two years of maintenance audits. Sanctuary365 has had no service improvement needs identified for the last three years.

Contractor Health & Safety Scheme

Sanctuary Maintenance is an Accredited Contractor of the Contractor Health & Safety Scheme (CHAS), which shows compliance with health and safety processes, organisation and standards.

Code of Practice Certificate

Sanctuary has been awarded the Code of Practice Certificate by the Centre for Housing and Support.

British Standards Institute

Following an extensive audit by the British Standards Institute, the Group’s internal scanning bureau in Liverpool has been certified with the new version of BS 10008 for its work in scanning our paper records. The new accreditation confirms that the bureau is able to destroy paper original documents with the electronic versions retaining the same legal weighting as the original.

Cyber Essentials Scheme

Sanctuary Group has achieved accreditation to the Cyber Essentials Scheme. This is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme that guides businesses in protecting against cyber threats.

Considerate Constructors Scheme

Sanctuary Group is a Client Partner of the Considerate Constructors Scheme. All of Sanctuary's new development sites are registered under the scheme.

Safety Schemes in Procurement

Sanctuary Maintenance uses the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) model to ensure that it properly assesses and regulates the health and safety of contractors.
