A picture of Social housing

We aim to create well designed, environmentally sustainable homes where people want to live.

We build a range of developments in all areas of the country to suit a wide variety of needs and styles. A few examples of our social housing are shown below:

Stratford House, Rochford

Following the demolition of 18 bedsits, we built five three-bedroom houses, and eight one and two-bedroom apartments for affordable rent, one of which was purpose-built on the ground floor for wheelchair access.

Weston-on-the-Green, Cherwell

We built nine traditional homes to an energy efficient design, which include two bungalows, two apartments and five houses. Two were built on land previously owned by the Duchy of Cornwall, with whom Sanctuary worked to ensure each property complemented its rural setting. We also worked closely with the parish council and Cherwell District Council.

Greenfields, Upton

The exterior of the Crisp Court development in London

Crisp Court

This 19 home mixed tenure scheme comprises three newly built houses and 16 apartments above a new energy efficient community centre. The scheme has been built on a small piece of land on the Gascoyne estate as part of Sanctuary’s estate regeneration programme in close consultation with existing residents. The community centre has an innovative copper-clad design opening on to a small green space reflecting the public open spaces of Victoria Park and Wells Common. The homes are for sale and rent to local people and were built in partnership with the London Borough of Hackney and the Greater London Authority.
