A picture of Double award success for student accommodation in Manchester

Two Sanctuary Students accommodation sites in Manchester have scooped top accolades in a local awards scheme.

Grafton Street accommodation and Denmark Road, which are both managed by leading student accommodation provider Sanctuary Students, each received a Highly Commended prize in the University of Manchester Students’ Union Private Hall of the Year Awards.

The accolades, part of the University of Manchester Students’ Union Celebrate Week Awards, are based on feedback from students living at private halls across Manchester covering a wide range of criteria including quality of accommodation and the work of staff.

Grafton Street accommodation is conveniently located just a short walk from both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan. The accommodation has a total of 590 rooms with features including flat screen TVs and leather sofas, an on-site laundry, caretaking services and 24-hour maintenance support.

Denmark Road is a purpose built student accommodation site located opposite the University of Manchester campus. The stylish development features four, five and six bedroom flats complete with kitchen and lounge area, leather sofa and large flat screen TV.

Further features include on-site laundry, common room/games room, 24-hour maintenance support and on-site security.

Alene Campbell, director of operational services for Sanctuary Students, said: “We are committed to providing first class accommodation for students which is more than just a room and these awards recognise the level of offering available in Manchester.”
