A picture of Sanctuary IT specialist scoops national award

A Worcester IT specialist has seen his ability to think outside the box and help find solutions to problems recognised with a national award.

James Mourby, who works for Sanctuary Group in the city, won the Bright Ideas honour at the KX User Forum awards in Warwick.

He was praised for submitting a raft of successfully implemented ideas to Kinetic Solutions’ online portal where people who use its software can suggest ways to improve functions for others.

Sanctuary Students, which is part of Sanctuary Group, use a system developed by the organisation to manage room bookings at its student accommodation and commercial property portfolio across the country.

James regularly shares knowledge with other student accommodation providers and supports Sanctuary in its day to day running of the software.

He said: “I am always looking for ways to get the most out of software and am pleased that my ideas are proving useful to others.

“To be given this award was a nice surprise and I look forward to contributing more in the future.”

Sam McMillan, Director – Sanctuary Students – said: “We are continually investing in the improvement of our booking system and James has played an important role in this. I would like to congratulate him on his success.”
