A picture of Sanctuary IT specialist wins top award for second year running

An IT specialist from Worcester-based Sanctuary Group is celebrating after winning a top technology award for the second year running.

James Mourby, a technology application specialist at Sanctuary, saw his ability to innovate and come up with creative ideas recognised with the Bright Ideas trophy at the KX User Forum awards.

He was praised for submitting a wide variety of popular and successfully-implemented ideas to Kinetic Software’s online portal, where people who use its software can suggest ways to improve functions for others.

Sanctuary Students, which is part of Sanctuary Group, uses a system developed by the organisation to manage room bookings at its student accommodation and commercial property portfolio across the country.

James regularly shares knowledge with other student accommodation providers and supports Sanctuary in its day to day running of the software.

He said: “I’m always keen to try and get the most out of software and to identify any areas where improvements can be made.

“It’s a real honour to win the award again and to know that the ideas I have shared are proving beneficial to others.”

Lee Rawlinson, Director of Innovation at Kinetic Software, commented: “This year the level of competition was much closer than ever before, but James again had the most creative ideas and the most engagement from other users.

“James is a great contributor and I’m really looking forward to working with him and the Sanctuary team to drive forward our system development, improving residential experiences across the sector.”

Sam McMillan, Director – Sanctuary Students, said: “Winning this award for a second time is a tremendous achievement and I would like to congratulate James on his success.

“We are continually making improvements to our operating platform and James has played a valuable role in this work.”
