A picture of Becky Miller - Deputy Specialist Nurse Manager

Becky Miller, a Deputy Specialist Nurse Manager for Sanctuary Supported Living, feels she has always been given excellent opportunities to develop and achieve.

She started working for Sanctuary in 2015 and is based at Montague Road Nursing Home in Felixstowe. Becky said: “During my time here, I’ve experienced some very difficult periods in my personal life which have undoubtedly impacted my mental health.

“During those times, I have always felt incredibly supported by the team, and where necessary signposted for further advice.”

The 35-year-old leads on moving and handling training and develops specialist resources for other services.

Becky said: “I have also completed mental health first aid training, which means I am trained to respond to the first signs of mental ill health in my colleagues.

“Throughout my career with Sanctuary, from nurse to manager and now clinical lead, I have always been given opportunities to develop and achieve. I have always been able to talk and feel included, and this has really helped me.”
