Sanctuary Housing has donated food and essential supplies to support the work of foodbanks and local charities across the country.

During lockdown, Sanctuary delivered more than 150 emergency food parcels to its most vulnerable residents.

With restrictions now easing, the remaining food supplies have been delivered to community organisations so they can be used to support others.

Donations have been made to:

The food parcels were put together and delivered by Sanctuary employees, who volunteered their time to ensure residents had all the supplies they needed.

Kimberley De Vergori, Sanctuary’s Head of Housing, said: “I’m so proud of all our teams across Sanctuary for the way they came together to deliver an unprecedented package of support for our residents.

“We know that there are many others out there in need of support, and I’m pleased that the surplus food supplies have been donated to these fantastic community organisations to help them with their vital work.”

Keith Turner, from West Bromwich Foodbank, commented: “A sincere thank you to Sanctuary Housing for the generous donation. It will help us make a difference to vulnerable people in our community.”
