For Lauren, a passion for improving processes through technology has paved the way for an interesting career path at Sanctuary.

Starting out in the HR department over 17 years ago, Lauren obtained a CIPD qualification and later managed a team. A talent for problem solving had become clear and her next career move was a Business Analyst role.

This was a natural fit for Lauren, and she was able to study for an Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) BA qualification and a Level 4 Business Administration QCF while carrying out the role.

Lauren now heads up Sanctuary’s Discovery and Design function, an inclusive collaborative team created to enable, align and embed new and existing technologies.

Lauren said: “I’m proud that I have achieved what I have at the same time as raising my children, who are now age 13 and six. Maternity leave has never hindered my chances for promotions and I regularly dash out for the school run. I am never judged, only supported and praised for the value I bring to the team.”

On completion of the Management Development Programme, which is offered via Sanctuary’s Learning Academy, Lauren discovered and embraced her own personal leadership style.

She commented: “I have gained practical and reusable leadership and management tools that I use in the workplace every day.”

Looking ahead, Lauren is preparing to begin an MBA, which Sanctuary is supporting her to undertake.
