Sanctuary Group is proud to be supporting the annual Christmas Trees at Worcester Cathedral event.

Each year the medieval Cloister at the cathedral is filled with dozens of trees decorated by local businesses, schools, community groups and charities.

Sanctuary, a leading provider of social housing and care based in Castle Street, has decorated its tree to the theme of ‘One Team’ – celebrating the incredible efforts its staff have made to look after each other and the residents they serve during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The tree is decked out with more than 70 handmade baubles featuring photos from initiatives staff have been involved in this year.

These include delivering emergency food parcels and ‘Keeping in Touch’ wellbeing calls to vulnerable residents, as well as volunteering in Sanctuary’s care homes and supported living services across the country.

Nicole Seymour, Sanctuary’s Group Director – Corporate Services, said: “As a major local employer, we’re delighted to be supporting the Christmas Trees at Worcester Cathedral event again this year. It’s an important fundraiser for the cathedral and something that families really look forward to visiting.

“It’s been an unusual year for us all and we wanted our tree to reflect how our employees right across the business have adapted and gone the extra mile to support our residents. We’re really proud of them all.”

Christmas Trees at Worcester Cathedral runs until 3 January and anyone wishing to visit must book a ticket for a specific timeslot in advance. Tickets are free and can be booked via Eventbrite, but donations to support the cathedral and its work are welcomed.
