A picture of Care and Supported Living feature in Caring in Covid e-book

Stories about our Sanctuary Care and Sanctuary Supported Living teams feature in a new National Care Forum e-book celebrating the incredible efforts of social care workers during the pandemic.

Caring in Covid is a collection of stories highlighting how teams have gone above and beyond to care for residents.

One of the stories tells how Sally Gregory, Home Manager at Sanctuary Care’s Guy’s Court Residential Care Home in Fleetwood, made the quick decision to leave her children with family and move into the home for 10 weeks when staff tested positive for the virus.

Sally’s story impressed judges from the National Care Forum so much that it was one of just five stories chosen as ‘Highly Commended’.

You can read our stories or download a copy of Caring in Covid by visiting the National Care Forum website. Sanctuary Supported Living’s stories are on pages 81 and 127 of the e-book, while Sanctuary Care’s stories are on pages 30, 51 and 80.
