School children running in a playground

The kids of St Brigid’s Primary in Glasgow have even more reason to look forward to breaktime after Sanctuary-funded play equipment was installed.

We donated £10,000 to help the school buy a large climbing frame, put down safe surfacing and repair the playground’s trim trail.

Eliza Rzezniczak and Jabari Rutagengwa are just two of the local youngsters thrilled to ‘hang about’ on the new equipment.

This investment encourages local kids to enjoy the outdoors, especially now that spring has arrived and the weather is getting better.

Head teacher Paul Cassidy said: “The children have been absolutely delighted with the new playground equipment. It is a wonderful addition to our playground and is extremely popular during our breaktimes.

“The equipment, as well as being a great source of fun, is allowing our children to take calculated risks and improve their gross motor skills.”
