The Victoria Development, Glasgow

Sanctuary has now been granted permission to redevelop the former Victoria Infirmary site in Glasgow. Planning and the listed building applications have now been agreed.

Sanctuary plan to create 413 new flats, plus offices and retail units, on the site in the city's Langside. The plans were developed by Glasgow-based Collective Architecture following a comprehensive community consultation.

Sanctuary's proposal retains Battlefield Road's iconic Nightingale Pavilions and feature public realm areas, including an improved pedestrian route through the site to Queen's Park.

It is the aim that people will be able to move in to the development in 2020. Around 310 of the homes will be available for private sale, with the remaining homes being made available for affordable housing, subject to Glasgow City Council grant approval.

For more information about the development, please visit The Victoria Glasgow website.
