Leading housing and care provider Sanctuary Group and FTSE 250 housing and construction group Galliford Try have confirmed two new joint ventures for the construction of 354 new homes in Huntingdonshire and London.

Building new homes

This follows an earlier agreement between the two organisations to build 251 new homes in Biddenham, Bedfordshire, taking the combined total of new homes to be built by the partnership to over 600 in deals worth £250 million.

The latest ventures will see the construction and sale of 219 new homes in Brampton and a further 135 in Greenwich.

Surplus generated by Sanctuary from all of the developments will be reinvested into the organisation’s communities and services.

“Developing much needed housing”

David Bennett, Sanctuary Group Chief Executive, said: “The two new joint ventures support our objective of developing much needed housing in communities across the country. We are pleased to be working with Galliford Try to provide new housing and employment for people.”

“Produce high-quality developments”

Tom Nicholson, Linden Homes Divisional Chairman, added: “We are delighted to be taking forward these schemes with Sanctuary as one of our primary partners and look forward to working together to produce high-quality developments in Brampton and Greenwich, extending our platform of mixed-tenure joint ventures.”
