Suppliers

On this page

We believe in delivering high quality products, systems and services to our customers. To make sure we deliver exceptional value for money, we work with our suppliers throughout procurement to get the best deal for residents.

We are serious about meeting our environmental and social responsibilities and expect all suppliers to follow our Supplier Code of Conduct.

We spend over £400 million each year covering a range of goods and services such as food and uniforms for care homes, repairs and construction materials, utilities, office supplies, waste management, professional services and transport.

We also have a large capital investment programme covering building schemes, computers, communications and other equipment.

Public Procurement Regulations

As a registered provider of social housing, we work in line with Public Procurement Regulations, which require us to advertise and award tenders. Our procurement activities follow a clear process, which enables all interested parties a fair chance to work with us.

Where the estimated value of the contract is expected to exceed the financial thresholds of the Public Contract Regulations (view the latest thresholds), the requirement will be advertised on Find a Tender Service (FTS). FTS is available electronically and free of charge. We also advertise tenders on the Government’s Contracts Finder website and Public Contracts Scotland.

The Sanctuary Group eTendering portal- ProContract, gives potential and existing suppliers an easy way to respond to our tenders. Suppliers can register on the portal at any time. Tenders are posted on the portal, and any registered suppliers will be notified of opportunities relevant to them.

We would strongly encourage all prospective suppliers to register on the portal to be kept aware of the latest tendering opportunities.

We welcome interest from small, medium and large supply organisations who share our approach in the way they work. Details of English contracts awarded over £25,000 will be published on Contracts Finder.

Local Supply Chain (LSC)

Construction and Asset Upgrade/Reinvestment Works

Sanctuary partners with Local Supply Chain (LSC) to administer a construction trades and approved contractor Dynamic Purchasing System, a pre-approved supply chain for construction and asset upgrade and reinvestment works.

This open framework comprises businesses of all shapes and sizes, from specialist trade contractors to support the in-house construction team, to general builders across the construction industry to help deliver a variety of projects across England and Scotland, and across Sanctuary’s key business areas of housing, care and student accommodation.

Access to the framework is by application through the LSC portal and companies will need to be approved in terms of capability, financial standing, and health and safety (companies carrying out works are required to hold a valid Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) accreditation). Call-offs are managed through the LSC portal, as a one-stop shop.

We welcome applications to this portal from suitable contractors. For further information, please access the LSC portal at www.constructdps.co.uk or contact Sanctuary at CDPS@sanctuary.co.uk.
